American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" Walk

A team from Rensselaer at Hartford participated in a five-mile walk at Bushnell Park in Hartford on October 14, 2001 as part of the American Cancer Society's fundraising efforts in the fight against breast cancer. The Rensselaer team, consisting of 22 participants, 18 of them as walkers, raised a total of $1,660 by collecting pledges of support. Funds raised for the event are used for breast cancer research and early detection programs that save lives. Visit the American Cancer Society's Web site at: http://www.cancer.org for cancer information including risk factors, diagnosis, and treatments. Congratulations to the Rensselaer at Hartford team on a job well done! Smile!
